 COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The program is addressed to graduates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering willing to acquire deep knowledge of the Computer Aided Desigh principles (CAD/CAЕ/CAM & PDM). The training has duration of three semesters / a year and a half/, as during the first two semesters different disciplines are taught and during the third one a master thesis is developed. The training ends with defence of the master thesis. The training under the program Aided Design in Mechanical Engineering guarantees the acquisition of extensive knowledge and professional skills in computer aided design systems (CAD/CAЕ/CAM & PDM). This is achieved by the curriculum structure and range.

The students attention is focused on:
- the overall process for developing a product – methods for design, analysis and preparation for manufacturing;
- the studying of the methods, which are in the base of the algorithms and programmes for the CAD/CAE/CAM & PDM systems;
- gaining experience and skills in the use and application of CAD/CAЕ/CAM & PDM technologies.
- developing skills for parallel product development, team work and collaboration in global environment.
The master graduates, based on the issued by the T. Kableshkov University of Transport documents for acquired educational and qualification degree in accordance with the Curriculum and the legal documents, can occupy key positions of designers, constructors, technology-programmers and others in manufacturing enterprises and R&D departments or to continue their studies in PhD program.
