Todor Kableshkov Higher School of Transport: One of the Nine Partners of the FP7 Project “TransBonus”

On 11 September 2009 the Todor Kableshkov Higher School of Transport, one ofthe nine partners of the FP7 project “TransBonus” (Transport EU-Western Balkan Network for Training, Support and Promotion of Cooperation in FP7 research activities), hosted a national Ideas Generation Event (IGE). The aim was to discuss and assess ideas that can be further developed as project proposals for FP7 calls.

The event was chaired by Assoc. Prof. DSc Nencho Nenov, Vice-Rector of the VTU and a TransBonus team member. The seminar included presentations on the TransBonus project, FP7 and Program of Competitiveness and Innovations made by Ms Zoya Damianova, the project coordinator from the ARC Fund (Applied Research & Communications Fund) and presentations on transport issues within the FP7, the aims and specificity of Ideas Generation Events made by Dr Anna Dzhaleva-Chonkova.

The seminar was organized into two sessions: “Transport Equipment” and “Transport Technologies and Economic Problems” with Assoc. Prof. Dr Dobrinka Atmadzhova and Dr Anna Dzhaleva-Chonkova as moderators. The participants rated and evaluated the ideas suggested through “Brainstorming” and began filling in the logical frameworks and application forms for the TransBonus call for pre-proposals.

At the IGE end Ms. Zoya Damianova and Assoc. Prof. DSc Nencho Nenov summarized the ideas and made recommendations how to develop them as project proposals.
