Student Traineeship in MIIT - Moscow
A group of students from Technology and Management of Transport and Industrial Management Programmes had a traineeship at Moscow State University of Railway Engineering /MIIT/ during the period of July 7 – July 14, 2014. The Bulgarian group had a number of meetings with the management, lecturers and students from MIIT. The following facilities within the university campus were visited: - Multimodal Transport Systems Centre; - Multimedia Trainer for Simulating and Controlling the Operation of Railway Yards; -Supercomputer at the Institute of Management and Information Technologies; - MIIT Museum. The Institute of Roads, Transportation Engineering and Constructions was also visited; There were organized a number of visits related to the professional activities: - Bombardie Transportation (Signal) Ltd., where advanced technological, information and communication solutions for railway transport sector were presented; - Visit of the most popular transport infrastructure sites and bridges in Moscow; - Situation Centre of Moscow Metropolitan, which ensuresthe safety of the passengers; - Railway Transport Museum; - Metropolitan Museum; - Famous stations of the Moscow Metropolitan; Additional cultural programme was organized. It included: - Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy; - Red Square and Kremlin Museum; - Christ the Saviour Cathedral; - Joseph Volokolamsk Monastery, where a meeting with students from MIIT, having a summer internship in the Monastery, was held; - V. M. Lomonosov Moscow State University; - etc. All students received certificates for participation in the international academic traineeship in the end of the visit.
