10th International Exhibition “Hemus”

The 10th International Exhibition “Hemus was held during the period of 30 May to 02 June, 2012 in the city of Plovdiv. The Todor Kableshkov University of Transport received a Diploma for participation in the exhibition.
Lecturers, regular and PhD students from Department of Electric Power Supply and Electric Equipment in Transport at Todor Kableshkov University of Transport took part in the exhibition.
The team included: Assoc. prof Antoaneta Kirova, Asst. prof. Chavdar Dzhambazki, Eng. Borislav Tzvetanov, Parvan Parvanov, Eng. Georgi Stoichev, Radoslav Katzov, Ivaylo Nenov, as the exhibition opening was attended by Prof. Petar Kolev, DSc, Assoc. prof. Georgi Pavlov, PhD, Assoc. prof. Ivan Petrov, PhD I Prof. Kachaunov, PhD.
At the exhibition were presented:
1.Electric vehicle, developed by a team of lecturers and students under the supervision of Assoc. prof Ivan Kostadinov Milenov, PhD with the support of sponsor companies. The purpose of the development was the designing, assembling and testing of real prototype of contemporary electric vehicle. The electric vehicle is used for laboratory, where different tests in real traffic conditions are made – mileage, velocity, acceleration, energy consumption, road behavior, etc. The tests help to create interactive simulation computer software that will significantly contribute for reducing time in developing new electric vehicles models.
2.Automobile with hydrogen fuel system, developed by a team of students and lecturers under the supervision of Assoc. prof. Ivan Petrov Petrov, PhD. The hydrogen fuel system is designed and tested in the University of Transport laboratories. The developed system is in the area of alternative energy sources, allows the quality of training of regular and PhD students to be increased. The innovation is tested on 15-year old Peugeot. Engine power is raised from 163 to 200 horsepower. Following the assembling of the hydrogen cell the energy consumption decreased – between 10 and 15%.
3.Electronic simulator of sound (noise) effects for electric vehicles, operating in urban environment, developed by a team of lecturers and students under the supervision of Assoc. prof. Georgi Mitkov Pavlov, PhD. Technical solution has been developed on the base of microprocessor electronic system for reproduction of real noise effects when noiseless electric vehicles are operating in urban environment. The advantages of the system are: high reliability, low price, low energy consumption, ability to adapt quickly towards specific requirements and mode of operation of different electric vehicles.
4.Multi-channeled microprocessor system for remote control of electric power objects, developed by a team of lecturers and students under the supervision of Assoc. prof. Georgi Mitkov Pavlov. The device for remote control of electric objects is a system, composed of electric blocks with certain functional designation, operating on a predetermined algorithm. Its purpose is to enable remote inclusion, exclusion and control of different types of electric and electronic devices, using a cell phone.
5.Electric bicycle, developed by a team of students from Power Engineering and Electric Equipment Programme, under the supervision of Assoc. prof. Georgi Mitkov Pavlov. The bicycle has a DC electric transmission with nominal motor power of 180 W and nominal voltage of 36 V. The motor power regulation is done via transistor impulse regulator, realized by IGBT elements.
All developments, presented at the 10th International Exhibition “Hemus” received a diploma.
